Who will see you

Our chiropractors

Four chiropractors, each with their own room, their own schedule and their own way of working. You see the same person every visit, and you can pick which one when you book.

Dr. Adrian Castellano, Spine & Disc Care at Woodside Chiropractor

Dr. Adrian Castellano, DC

Spine & Disc Care

Clinical Director · Room 1 · here since 2009

Adrian opened this clinic in 2009 after nine years working in a physical therapy practice on Northern Boulevard, and he still takes the cases nobody else wants to take: the long-running low back, the leg pain that has already been to three people, the patient who has been told they need surgery and wants to know whether that is true. He is the person here most likely to tell you that chiropractic is not your answer, and he says it early rather than after eight visits.

Dr. Priya Raghunathan, Sports Injury & Rehabilitation at Woodside Chiropractor

Dr. Priya Raghunathan, DC

Sports Injury & Rehabilitation

Chiropractor · Room 2 · here since 2016

Priya looks after the runners, the football players from the fields at Sunnyside Gardens, the weekend cyclists and the people who took up the gym in January and hurt themselves in February. She ran the 800 metres competitively into her twenties, which is why she is unusually blunt about training loads and unusually good at telling somebody they are not ready to race yet.

Dr. Marisol Bautista, Prenatal & Family Care at Woodside Chiropractor

Dr. Marisol Bautista, DC

Prenatal & Family Care

Chiropractor · Room 3 · here since 2014

Marisol sees the pregnant patients, the new parents carrying a baby on one hip for eight months, and the children whose parents want somebody sensible to look at them. She is careful about what she claims: she treats the aching pelvis and the mid-back, she does not treat colic, reflux or ear infections, and she says so at the first appointment before anybody has to ask.

Dr. Sean Halloran, Older Adults & Gentle Technique at Woodside Chiropractor

Dr. Sean Halloran, DC

Older Adults & Gentle Technique

Chiropractor · Room 4 · here since 2011

Sean has spent fifteen years working almost entirely with patients over sixty, which in practice means working with thinner bone, stiffer joints, longer medication lists and a great deal more caution. He is the person to ask for if you have been told you are too old or too fragile to see a chiropractor, and also the person most likely to agree with whoever told you that, if he thinks they were right.

How each of them works

Worth reading before you choose. They differ more than most patients expect, and picking the one whose approach suits you matters more than picking the one with a free slot on Tuesday.

  • Dr. Adrian Castellano, DC — Spine & Disc Care

Slow, thorough and unhurried. Expect a long first appointment, a lot of questions about your day rather than your spine, and a plan with a review date attached to it. He does not adjust necks with high-velocity technique unless the patient has asked for it and understands why.

  • Dr. Priya Raghunathan, DC — Sports Injury & Rehabilitation

Hands on for ten minutes, then work. She will load the injured thing rather than rest it wherever that is the right call, she writes the programme down, and she wants to see you do it in front of her before you take it home.

  • Dr. Marisol Bautista, DC — Prenatal & Family Care

Low force, side-lying, bolstered and slow. Nothing she does to a pregnant patient involves a twist through the abdomen. With children the visit is mostly conversation with the parent and very light hands, and she will happily tell you a child does not need to be seen at all.

  • Dr. Sean Halloran, DC — Older Adults & Gentle Technique

Almost never a twist. He works with a hand-held adjusting instrument, a drop-piece table and a lot of mobilisation, and half of what he sends people home with is about walking and balance rather than the spine at all.

Who should I book?

If you are not sure

Choose "any available" on the booking page and take the first hour that suits you — the calendar will tell you who it is with before you confirm. All four treat ordinary back and neck pain, so for most problems it genuinely does not matter.

Where it does matter: if you are pregnant, book Dr. Bautista. If you are over seventy, have thinning bone, or have been told you should not be manipulated, book Dr. Halloran. If you have a race or a season to get back to, book Dr. Raghunathan. If you have long-running low back or leg pain that has already been to two other people, book Dr. Castellano.

And if you book the wrong one, nobody minds — we will say so at the first appointment and move you across, at no charge and without making it awkward.

The corridor at Woodside Chiropractor, Woodside NY

We do not claim anyone else's approval. Chiropractic is a licensed health profession in New York State, and every chiropractor is registered with the State before they may practise. What we will not do is decorate this website with the name of a board, a college or an association as though somebody else vouches for us — nobody outside this clinic has reviewed it. So instead of showing you a badge, these pages tell you plainly who will see you, what they will do, what they will not do, what it costs, and what the risks are. Ask us about any of it before you book.

A fee agreed before the visit, not after it

Book an appointment

Pick a chiropractor and an hour from the calendar — it shows only the times each of them genuinely has free. A first visit is a full hour and costs $95 for the examination on its own, or $145 if we treat you at the same appointment. You decide which after the examination, not before.
