What it costs

Fees

You get the fee before the visit, not after it. Every fee on this site is the fee you pay, and a first visit costs the same whether we end up adjusting you or telling you to see your doctor instead. We do not sell prepaid packages, we do not ask anyone to sign up for a course of thirty visits, and nobody here is paid a bonus for booking you in again. If you feel better and want to stop, stop.

The thing we do not sell

Why there is no package here

Prepaid care plans are the single most common way this trade takes money it has not earned. The structure is always the same: a long treatment plan priced and signed at the first appointment, a substantial discount for paying upfront, and a commitment made before anybody knows whether the treatment works for you.

The problem is not the arithmetic, it is what the arithmetic does to the clinical decision. Once a course is prepaid, the clinic is paid whether or not it helps, the patient has a financial reason to keep attending something that is not working, and the conversation about stopping never happens because stopping now feels like wasting money.

So: pay per visit, at the fees above, and stop whenever you like owing nothing. If you feel better after three visits, that is three visits. We would rather that than have you finish a block of thirty because you paid for it.

Questions

Fees — the questions we are asked most

Why is the first visit more expensive?

Because it is an hour rather than twenty minutes, and because almost all of the thinking happens in it. History, examination, working out what is going on, and explaining it. $95 covers that on its own; $145 covers the same hour with treatment included. You choose which after the examination rather than before it.

Do you offer discounts for booking a block?

No, deliberately. A discount for committing to a block is a financial reason to keep attending that has nothing to do with your back, and it means that by the time you find out the treatment is not working, you have already paid for it. Everybody pays the same per-visit fee and can stop whenever they like.

What if I cannot afford it?

Tell us when you ring rather than not coming. We can often spread visits further apart, prioritise the exercise programme over hands-on treatment, or do one thorough assessment with a home plan and no follow-ups at all. That last option genuinely suits a lot of people and it costs $95 in total.

Do you charge for a referral letter?

No. If the right answer is that you need to see somebody else, you should not be charged for us telling you so. We write to your doctor or the relevant specialist within the same week and there is no fee for it. The only report that is charged for is a formal one prepared for an insurer or an attorney.

What about missed appointments?

Ring us and we will move it, no charge, no conversation about it. If somebody repeatedly books hours and does not turn up we will have a word, because a wasted hour is an hour somebody in pain could have had. But life happens, and one missed appointment is not a billing event here.

Can I pay by card?

Card, cash or check, at the end of the visit. We will also bill your insurance directly where you are covered — the insurance page sets out how that actually works and what to bring to the first appointment.

Book an appointment

Pick a chiropractor and an hour from the calendar — it shows only the times each of them genuinely has free. A first visit is a full hour and costs $95 for the examination on its own, or $145 if we treat you at the same appointment. You decide which after the examination, not before.
