Accessibility

What we have done to make this website and the clinic itself usable, and what to tell us when you book so the visit works for you.

This website

  • Every page is navigable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip-to-content link.
  • Body text meets or exceeds a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background; large text and UI meet 3:1.
  • Every image carries alt text, or an empty alt where the image is decorative.
  • Every image and inline SVG carries explicit width and height, so nothing shifts as the page loads.
  • The booking calendar is operable by keyboard and announces free days and times to screen readers.
  • Animation respects prefers-reduced-motion; the hero video is muted, decorative and hidden from assistive technology.
  • Text reflows to 320px without horizontal scrolling, and zooms to 200% without loss of content.
  • Form fields have real labels, and errors are announced in text rather than by colour alone.

The clinic itself

  • Step-free entrance from the street — no lip and no step.
  • Every treatment room on one level; there are no stairs inside the clinic.
  • An accessible toilet with grab rails and a step-free approach.
  • Chairs with arms in the waiting area, which matters a great deal if standing up is difficult.
  • A loading bay directly outside the door, about four paces from the kerb to a chair.
  • Adjustable-height tables in every room, so nobody has to climb onto anything.
  • Nine languages between the clinicians and the front desk, and we will find an interpreter if we cannot manage yours.

Tell us when you book

The notes field on the booking form is a good place to say what you need — that you use a wheelchair, that you cannot lie flat, that you need extra time, that you would rather not be touched without warning, that you are bringing somebody with you, or that you would prefer a particular language. None of it is an imposition and all of it makes the appointment work better. You can also ring the clinic and say it out loud.

If something here does not work

Tell us and we will fix it. Email sales@bestdealwebdesign.com or ring 000-000-0000 — both placeholders on this demonstration site. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA and we treat a report that we have missed something as a bug rather than a complaint.

Chiropractic care is not a substitute for medical diagnosis. Chiropractic care is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, and nothing on this website is medical advice for your particular problem. We are not physicians: we do not prescribe medication, we do not perform surgery, and we do not treat disease. What we do is examine how your spine and joints move, work on them by hand, and give you something to do between visits. If your problem turns out to be outside that, we say so and refer you — which happens often enough that you should expect it as a normal outcome rather than a failure.
